Worked beatifully for 3.8! there should be an update to the main thread indicating that the hack for 3.8 is golden.

I am new to this forum, but have had my 05 TL for a little over 4 years now (6 SP manual and love it). Just sent my DVD player back to Alpine for repair and it is supposed to arrive today. (THANK YOU forum)

Trying to find a 3.7 orange DVD? (mine has the original, 3.4A, and have never updated it.

i through that the 3.8 orange was burned differently? outside-> inside, inted of teh standard method of inside out?
so unrar the rar over write the dupe files, and then follow the standard hack instructions for the bin extraction and modification?

^ I think you need to burn .rar file to the disc after extraction, no modification is necessary.

that cant be as the rar is only 16meg of data, not 4.2gig or 8.7gig

Bro, you do not need the rest of the file. Just burn those 2 files to a cd/dvd then load ém to the nav system, it will work just fine.

Hey guys...I'm posting on this thread bc I've had no luck getting responses posting on others, or even starting my own (http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=746234). I have an '04 TL w/ V3.30f and require some of Kenny's modified patches including

HMIManager.zip
navi.zip

Does anyone have these files??!! I'm pretty sure once I have these .zip files I can perform the hack on V3.30f (correct me if I'm wrong). I appreciate any help! Thanks.

Thanks. Hack worked great in my 06 with V3.71. Just had to pack to the BNHH401A.BIN file in my case.

thanks for the files. Worked perfectly in my '04 TL 5at with the 3.8 disk. can't wait to hit the road tomorrow and check out the trip computer. So nice not to have the nags!!!

So Selim, once the hacks are in is there any way to remove them and go back to the origianl without going to Acura? Just curious?

Yes, use the original Navi DVD and reinstall it back to factory settings. It takes about 30 second to do that.

thanks for the help. just wanted to be able to go back to the original configuration as i have to take the car in for service and don't want acura to tell me i voided the extended warranty by hacking the nav. Will reinstall the hack when they are done.

Thanks a lot to both you guys,

it took less than 15 mins to get the trip working and ok taken care off.

I can't be happier doing my first Mod this quick and no issues at all... Ooh, somebody stop me!

Navi 3.8 - 06 TL

Probably my lack of knowledge but I'm having trouble with this procedure. First time through got to the burning process but not sure how to burn properly with nero(Don't know if that was the problem or not). Second time can't get the Back.bmp to work the cmd prompt says unable to map stat file or something like that. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm also assuming my navi is 3.7 disc said 3.73 and is of course orange.

Ok I tried everything again and I think I did the commands right but I'm not sure about the burn. When I loaded the disc it read it but then said please check disc. I tried using nero burning rom with DVD-Rom (udf/iso) just a guess. Any help????

This looks like a fantastic writeup. I am trying to make it work on my orange 3.7 disk but am coming up with errors.

I get the following:
C:\Users\Admin Account\Desktop\Hack>dumpnavi BN2HH12C.BIN update HMIManager.exe

Not sure what I am doing wrong. Up to this point everything in the writeup works as expected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
