hey marcus, we already spoke over the phone, but I decided to just take the original shift knob. i think i'd like the contrast of color instead of making it dark colored to match the type-s interior. so whenever you can, i'll be ready to be shipped that fine piece of work

Ok so here we go....first the good:

I love the way it looks. Perfect color, nice size, awesome finish.

The bad, and i was wishing this wouldnt be in issue, and thats how far it screws down. The maven is almost the same size as the base leather knob, but the leather knob has an extra plastic piece that helps cover the threads of the "stalk" and gives the appearance that is screwed down farther. It appears that the maven could be drilled/threaded farther given the extra room at the top, but not sure about the structural rigidity of doing this. Or, the stalk could be cut which would lower all knobs regardless of their height, but i would at this time prefer not to do this. Right now there are some threads that the maven knob does not cover...which kinda bugs me. But like i said earlier, i LOVE the way it looks. And here are the pics....

Thanks for the pics and the comments, but I think we would all benefit from some pics from where your perspective would be when sitting in the car. Few people drive w their chins on the armrest.
